In 2001 I won the RNA’s Elizabeth Goudge Trophy for a historical short story called “Cavalier Treatment”.

I was also awarded the Katie Fforde Bursary in 2006, (see photo below) and this gave my writing a real boost and inspired me to keep going even though no one seemed to want to publish my books at that time. If you’d like to read more about Katie and her own lovely books, please go to www.katiefforde.com.
